Prison to Purpose
"My life was a disaster, now I am a Pastor serving The Master!" The above is the slogan of Solomon, known as Sollie, who spent 25 years in prison after being embroiled in the gang culture of the Cape Flats, SA. Today, he leads a remarkable project, 'Voice Of The Voiceless' where he and his team give hope to hundreds of children living in poverty. The programme offers meals, homework clubs, training, play and pastoral care, creating a safe, nurturing space where children can

Standing with His Majesty’s Happy Home
In 2006, Alberta Smith followed a call to serve. She left the UK and moved to Odumase, Ghana, where many children were homeless, hungry, and unable to attend school. What began with shared meals and safe spaces has grown into His Majesty’s Happy Home, an orphanage and school now serving over 250 children. With love, determination, and deep faith, Alberta built something extraordinary. The orphanage and school have become a beacon of hope in the community. At Heart 2 Hand, we

A Summer Break for Ukrainian Refugees
Since the war began in 2022, many Ukrainian families have lived with trauma and loss, many know that their loved ones are on the active battlefield. Our IPHC colleagues serve hundreds of displaced families daily with love and care. Last summer, we had volunteers support a retreat organised for the families. This year, with your help, we did it again, covering the cost of12 Ukrainian mums and children who enjoyed a 10-day restorative holiday at a peaceful campsite in Długie, P

Outreach to Ukrainian families fleeing war
In Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland, sisters Guyana and Kristina welcome Ukrainian mums and children fleeing war, offering support, spiritual care, and a safe place to heal. While raising their own kids and working part-time, they run a vibrant outreach. With help from Heart 2 Hand, Compassion Church Bridgend, and the Eli Project, we delivered suitcases filled with clothes, games, and crafts. A mission team from IPHC joined for a week of outreach. Over 100 children took part—paint

Feeding 300- 400 people through faith, and with love - Cape Town, SA
Lavender Hill is one of Cape Town’s toughest areas, where unemployment is high and many go hungry. Yet in the middle of it all, Kenny and Maggie, both in their late 70s, serve hot meals to 300–400 people every few days. Running on small donations and their pensions, their humble soup kitchen is love in action. Heart 2 Hand supports them with funds and supplies. It’s not a long-term fix, but it’s a lifeline. A typical meal? Bone broth with veg! Simple, essential, and deeply ap

Jazz for Hope!
The energy defied the mainstream narrative because we do have the power to make a change! The atmosphere was electric at our recent Jazz for Hope event! It was undergirded by love, purpose, and passion (and Disco Bingo). The night raised a phenomenal £4,246.32 to support the completion of the school build in Ghana, and we later received surprise donations totaling £2,953.34, which brings us to an incredible total of £7,049.32! Compared to our original target, we have just

There is hope! ❤️
A Winter with the Forgotten This winter, Voice to the Voiceless is caring for more children than ever. It is hard to imagine Cape Town, South Africa, as a cold and wet place, but that is truly what winter there can look like. Most of the children supported by Sollie and team are not in school. Many can’t read or write. But, one thing is certain, all are hungry for food, for love, for hope. Last weeks Thursday outreach was a particularly busy one, with unschooled children ke

Hope Inside the Walls
Each month, Voice to the Voiceless visits men in prison…, not with judgment, but with the love of Jesus. They sit, pray, listen, and remind each man that he is not forgotten. One simple way they do this is by providing a R10 voucher (50p sterling!!) just enough for a short phone call to family. For many, it’s the only connection they have to the outside world. It’s small, but it matters. A reminder that someone sees them. That God sees them. As winter drags on and hope fe

Not forgotten!!!
It’s wonderful to support this project for mothers and toddlers! Today we ventured into ‘the bush’. The reality? A huge patch of wasteland, piles of litter, and small tin huts. But, within minutes of arrival, we were making instruments, singing nursery songs, and connecting with young mothers. The session ended with the story of Bartimaeus, prayer, and a word of encouragement. What started as a simple visit quickly turned into a session full of laughter, learning, and hope. M

Heart 2 Hand - Cape Town SA
At Heart 2 Hand we aim to fund sustainable models of support, however we also believe in demonstrating love in the moment! Following an evening of outreach in Cape Town (SA), we returned to the car feeling so humbled. A lady, instead of asking for an extra egg mayo sandwich for herself, asked us to take it to another location where a mother is rough sleeping with her children. Pure selflessness. We believe that anyone can serve, anyone can lend support, and regardless of age,
